"An investment in knowledge pays the best interest" – Benjamin Franklin
As students we know the value of these words from our Founding Father, Benjamin Franklin: "An investment in knowledge pays the best interest".
When we think of knowledge, though, most times we might be thinking of subjects taught in school like Math, Science, language, PE, etc. But, just like we value the importance of these subjects, it is equally important to have a solid foundation in money matters. What it means to save and budget, what we should be aware of as we start to live independently in college, how we plan for our future, what it means to invest - these are just some of the basics of managing our money, which will help us to be financially knowledgeable young adults.
Teens Who Invest is my effort in ensuring that we are starting the journey to learn the foundational elements of Personal Finance, and build on what we learn by practicing it in our daily lives. In the words of Robert Kiyosaki, "Financial freedom is available to those who learn about it and work for it." Join me and my team in achieving this goal of financial literacy together.
