When I had written my blog back in July 2025 I had celebrated a milestone of reaching over 75 students with the financial literacy mission. Today I have taught over 200 students with 25 sessions all in-person across various communities in the bay area.
Every session is carefully crafted by Esha and me. If we don’t understand it, we don’t put it in rightaway and then we make an effort to understand the concepts before teaching it.
At that time I had felt the fear and anxiety of starting something new. My only concern was that attendees should like being students and that they should learn well. That my team and I should teach well, that we should be dedicated and keep going even if the journey is hard.
Today, I am proud to say that what we started is now a growing in our communities locally. So many more financial literacy organizations are starting up now. More students come to me to ask about being a part of our organization and learning from us.
That adds to the pride I feel as founder of an initiative that felt challenging at first. Financial Literacy should be a goal for everyone, at any age, at any stage in their lives.
I got the opportunity to interview our esteemed Councilmember, Mr.George Casey, at a meeting with him and got his insights into what is important to the youth of today and how he had learned over the years.
To read about that, stay tuned! And happy learning for financial freedom!
